PALLIATIVE CARE IN ILLAWARRA

Our approach to palliative care is centred on dignity, comfort, and compassion. We understand that end-of-life care is not just about managing symptoms — it's about honouring the individual and supporting what matters most to them.

We provide both dedicated palliative care units and in-home palliative support in partnership with the NSW Health Palliative Care team. This allows participants to receive care in a homelike environment or in the comfort of their own home, depending on their needs.

Our palliative care is delivered in a homelike environment by:

• 24/7 trained disability support staff
• An on-call registered nurse, available to guide and support staff and families with clinical needs

We work closely with each participant's existing support network to ensure a smooth and respectful transition.  This maintains continuity of care and individual preferences.

Whether it's spending meaningful time with loved ones, pursuing a final goal, or simply enjoying familiar comforts, we tailor each plan to honour the participant's wishes.
